Argumentvraag

A question asking which reason the writer gives for their own position — the content of the argument, not its role.

Ten eerste … Ten tweede …
Numbered reasons. The stem often names one of them by its topic; find the right number before you compare options.
Bovendien adds a second, separate reason. Both reasons can be the answer to Welk argument …?, so check the option against the exact wording of each.
This announces the writer's verdict; it is not yet the reason. The reason is the next sentence, which says why the comparison fails.
Daar komt bij dat works like bovendien, but longer. Whatever follows is a reason in its own right, often the one the question asks about.
…, vermoedelijk doordat een scherm meer afleiding biedt.
A reason inside a reason. The correct option may fold both into one line, so an option that looks too long is not wrong for that alone.

Argumentatievraag

A question about what a sentence is doing in the argument — why the writer put it there, not what it says.

Denk bijvoorbeeld aan …
An illustration of a claim just made. Its job is support, and the claim it supports is the sentence above it.
Critici stellen dat … Maar …
An objection raised by the writer in order to answer it. The position quoted is not the writer's, and the maar sentence is.
A historical parallel used to discredit a prediction. The past case is the argument, not the subject.
Weliswaar … maar …
A concession followed by the real point. The first half is granted, the second half is argued.
De redenering gaat mank omdat …
The writer naming a flaw. When a question asks about a denkfout, this is the sentence that answers it.

Conclusievraag

A question asking what follows from the text — a conclusion the text supports but does not always state.

Staat het er letterlijk?
Then it is not a conclusion, it is a detail. This option appears in nearly every set.
alle, altijd, iedereen, nooit
A conclusion this absolute needs evidence about every case. B2 texts almost never give it.
zal, zou … worden, is te verwachten
A prediction. Only a conclusion if the text argued about the future; a text about the present does not license it.
daarom, dus, hieruit volgt
The text drawing its own conclusion. Where it does, the answer is close to those words.
waarschijnlijk, vermoedelijk, mogelijk
A hedged conclusion is usually the safe one at B2, because the evidence is usually partial.

Grammatica

Conditionalis

Als, zou and mocht — the three ways Dutch says what would happen if.

Real condition. Both halves stay in the present; the als-clause sends its verb to the end.
Unreal or hypothetical. Zou appears in both halves and the main clause inverts after the comma.
Formal condition. Mocht replaces als and inverts by itself — there is no conjunction in front of it.
Tenzij is the negative condition — unless. It behaves like als in every other respect.

Schrijven

Kort bericht

A short, businesslike message of about 40 to 80 words that handles three points the task names, usually in a work or association setting.

Beste Marieke, / Geacht bestuur,
The reader decides the register. A colleague who wrote to you informally gets Beste and je; a board or an organisation gets Geacht or Geachte and u. Choose once and keep it.
Bedankt voor je uitnodiging voor de werkgroep.
The first point, in the first sentence, naming the thing it is about. The reader knows at once which message you are answering.
Ik doe graag mee. / Helaas kan ik niet meedoen, omdat …
A yes or no the reader does not have to infer. At B2 an answer implied by enthusiasm is still an answer missing.
Ik stel voor dat …
The frame for the judgement or proposal point. What follows dat must name who does what, so a reader could act on it tomorrow.
Met vriendelijke groet, + naam
Both lines, always, for colleague and board alike. It costs four words of the limit and closes the message as finished.
