What are you asked?
9–12 tasks: ≈7–8 sentence tasks + 1–2 short + 1–2 medium (describe a problem with a solution; use tables/graphics). Graded by 2 assessors.
Pass rule: Scaled score ≥ 500 per part, set by CvTE. A mock approximates this and labels the result an estimate.
How to practise this part
- 1
Answer every task completely: who, what, when, why. A short complete text scores better than a long incomplete one.
- 2
Keep the standard shape — opening, body, closing. Assessors look for structure before they look at style.
- 3
Write simply and correctly. A mistake in a simple sentence costs less than a mistake in a complicated one.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my writing marked by a computer?
- Not in the real exam — human assessors read your work. Here you get AI feedback on structure, word choice and errors: a practice aid, not an official grade.
- Do I have to write by hand?
- It depends on the exam; see the table above. Where the real exam is on paper you practise digitally here — copy your answer out by hand at home as well.
