Spreken: reageren op een filmpje
Someone in a short video speaks to you. You answer them as you would in real life: politely, and doing what the situation asks.
The prompt names the person and quotes them: In het filmpje ziet u een medewerker van de supermarkt. Hij zegt: 'Kan ik u helpen?' Then comes the part that matters most: your situation. U zoekt de melk. That last line is your real task. A weak answer reacts only to the quoted question (Ja, graag) and forgets the situation. A good answer reacts to the person and then does the job: Ja, graag. Waar staat de melk?
How the exam tests this
In the Inburgeringsexamen Spreken your answers are recorded on a computer. One part starts with a short video: a person speaks to you, and you answer. The task cards in our bank check three things: can your reaction be understood, does it fit the situation, and is it polite and clear? We have 32 of these video tasks: shop staff, a doctor, a neighbour, a colleague, a receptionist.
