Luisteren: conclusie
A question about the lesson or conclusion the speaker draws — usually at the end, and usually smaller and more precise than the options suggest.

The question asks what follows from the fragment: "Welke les trekt de maker uit dit verhaal?", "Wat pleit de spreker uiteindelijk?", "Waartoe nodigt het fragment de luisteraar aan het slot uit?". A talk collects a problem, examples and sometimes an objection, and then draws a line under them. The conclusion is that line — often announced with dus, dan ook, de les is or het verhaal leert ons — and it is almost always more modest than a listener expects: soms rather than altijd, one moment rather than every day, keep the numbers but read them differently.
How the exam tests this
Luisteren II: about 40 multiple-choice questions over five or more fragments in 90 minutes, computer-marked, and each fragment plays once. In our bank, 27 of the 85 conclusion items are the last question on their fragment, and none is the first. The wrong options overshoot the speaker (altijd for soms, as often as possible for once), restate the view the speaker explicitly rejects, or reshuffle the right words into a sentence the speaker never said.
