Zinstaak: doel
A completion task: the stem describes an action and ends in zodat, and you supply what the action is meant to achieve.
Someone — usually the gemeente or a school — does something, and you say why they are doing it. The difficulty is twofold. Zodat is a subordinating word, so your half needs its own subject and a verb at the very end. And zodat can also introduce a mere consequence, so a grammatical half that describes an effect nobody planned reads as a result, not a purpose, and misses what the task asked for.
How the exam tests this
Most of Schrijven II is sentence tasks — roughly seven or eight of its nine to twelve — each asking for one move. All four of our doel items print a stem that ends in zodat, about a public body acting: extra bins, evening tutoring, charging points, bike racks. The requirement lists om … te, zodat or met als doel, but when zodat is printed, only zodat's grammar applies. Two assessors mark against a scheme, and our practice items check three things: is a purpose expressed, is the connector used correctly including word order, and does it fit the situation. One item asks for één duidelijk doel.

De gemeente plaatst extra prullenbakken in het park, zodat bezoekers gooien hun afval niet meer op de grond.
Most candidates write it exactly like this and lose the mark without knowing why.
