Spreken: standpunt
A 30-second task on a proposal or statement: take a clear position, support it, and at B2 often weigh both sides before you conclude.
The prompts come in three versions, and the last line tells you which. Onderbouw die met minstens één argument: a position and one solid reason. Noem minstens twee argumenten: two different reasons and a short conclusion. Geef uw mening en weeg beide kanten af: pros, cons, and then a choice. The third version is where B2 goes beyond B1. In steden komen steeds meer bewakingscamera's: some see safety, others see privacy. Thirty seconds is four or five sentences, so weighing both sides has to be done in one sentence each, with linking words that show the balance.
How the exam tests this
Staatsexamen NT2 programme II, Spreken: 13 recorded tasks in about 25 minutes. Eight of them are medium tasks with about 30 seconds to answer, and giving a position is the most common kind in our bank: we have 38 of these standpunt tasks. Two trained assessors mark the recordings against a marking scheme. The task cards ask: is the position clear and supported, are the arguments relevant, is the answer coherent, and, on the weighing version, is there a nuanced balance? They also ask whether the language is varied, which is where a B1 set of linking words starts to show.

Most candidates write it exactly like this and lose the mark without knowing why.
