Not sure? Ask your course or employer — they set the requirement. For civic integration, B1 is the standard level under the Wet inburgering 2021.

How is the NT2 exam marked?

Each part gets a scaled score set by CvTE; you pass a part from 500 points. So there is no fixed number of correct answers you need — the threshold depends on how difficult that sitting was. A mock can only approximate that score, which is why we always label the result an estimate.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Programma I and Programma II?
Programma I tests at B1 and is aimed at vocational study (MBO) and most jobs. Programma II tests at B2 and is meant for higher education (HBO and university) and academic work. Programma II's texts and audio are longer and more abstract.
Can I take the parts separately?
Yes. You register per part and get a certificate for each part you pass. With all four certificates you hold the full diploma.
Does the Staatsexamen NT2 count for civic integration?
Yes. An NT2 diploma meets the language requirement; under the Wet inburgering 2021 the standard level for that is B1. Your municipality and DUO confirm what applies in your case.
